Precious Promises

God has given you 7,487 "exceedingly great and precious promises..." II Pt. 1:4

Here's a few just for you.

How to Receive Anything From God

Lk. 11:13 • Lk. 12:32 • II Co. 1:20 • Hb. 6:12

  1. Adjust Your Perspective of God
    1. God is a loving Father. Lk. 11:13
    2. God is not mad at you. Ps. 145:8, Lam. 3:22-23
    3. People who perceive God as a stingy punisher have difficulty receiving anything.
  2. Search The Scriptures
    1. All of God’s promises were fulfilled in Jesus. II Co. 1:20
    2. Study God’s Word before a crisis comes. Job 23:10
    3. A general understanding of His Word is beneficial. II Tm. 2:15, Ac. 17:11
    4. “Put the Word in you when you don’t need it, so it will be there when you do need it.” Pastor Tommy Burchfield
  3. What Does the Word Say?
    1. The five most important words ever!
    2. Often the difference between life and death
    3. God’s Word in your mouth becomes a weapon. ”…the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” Eph. 6:17
  4. The Prayer of Faith
    1. Pray the prayer of faith once and receive your promise by faith. Mk. 11:24
    2. Write down the time and date and consider that promise received.
    3. Turn that temptation to beg into faith by reminding the Lord of your “promise date.” Is. 43:26
  5. Stand on the Word
    1. You’re not a beggar, you’re a believer.
    2. “Having done all to stand…stand therefore..” Eph. 6:13
    3. To “walk by faith and not by sight” means you choose to believe God’s Word over your circumstances. II Co. 5:7
    4. The twins of faith: “…by faith and patience, you will inherit the promise.” Hb. 6:12

Faith has nothing to do with feelings. Feelings have nothing to do with faith.
