FAQ About Salvation

Jn. 3:3 • Jn. 14:6 • Rom. 10:13 • Eph. 2:8

Q. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAVED?

A. Salvation is the state of your eternal soul, which occurs by your choice to enter a relationship with God as your Father.

Q. WHY DO I NEED TO BE SAVED?

A. Sin separates man from God. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Rom. 3:23

Q. HOW DO I GET SAVED?

A. By accepting God’s Son, Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. ”Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Rom. 10:13

Q. I’M A GOOD PERSON AND ATTEND CHURCH. ISN’T THAT ENOUGH?

A. NO. “By grace are you saved, not by works, lest any man boast.” Eph. 2:8

Q. AREN’T ALL RELIGIONS BASICALLY THE SAME?

A. No. World religions are based on obeying rules. Christianity is based on a relationship with Jesus. World religions require paying a sacrifice to earn peace with their god while Christianity receives the sacrifice already provided by Jesus. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me.” Jn. 14:6

Q. WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD SEND PEOPLE TO HELL?

A. Hell was created for Satan, not man. God never sends anyone to hell. Man chooses hell by rejecting God’s love and depending on anything besides the shed Blood of Jesus to cover his sin.

  • You won’t get into heaven because YOU are so good, but because GOD is so good.
  • Sitting in a church won’t make you a Christian anymore than sitting in a garage will make you a car.
  • Jesus didn’t die to make bad people good, but rather dead people alive. Eph. 2:1
  • You are an eternal spirit. You will live forever somewhere.
