Faith’s Five Foundational Facts
Rom. 3:27 • Rom. 12:1-3 • Mk 4:26-32 • Lk. 17:8
- Faith is a Law
- A law is something that works everytime.
- Laws aren’t moved by people’s feelings. Settle this:
“I’m not moved by what I feel. I’m only moved by the Word.” - Natural Laws vs. Faith Laws – Ge. 17:17 vs. Rom. 4:20
Abraham chose which law would govern him.
- Faith is a Measure
- Given to all born again believers Rom 12:1-3
- Believing = acting on the Word = greater measures
- “According to your faith…” (your measure, your capacity)
No faith Mk 4:40 Disciples in storm
Little faith Mt. 6:30 Disciples needing provision
Great faith Mt. 8:10 Roman centurion
- Faith is as a Muscle
- A bodybuilder and wimp have the same amount of muscles.
- Jesus is the Author and Finisher (developer) of our faith.
- Weak in faith vs. strong in faith Rom. 4:19 -20
- “Building yourself up on your most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost.” Jd. vs. 20
- Faith is as a Servant
- A servant is under the command of a master. The Word (Jn. 1:1) is the master who controls Lk. 17:5-10
- What you say is your faith speaking. II Co. 4:13
- When you speak faith-filled words, your ‘servant’ goes to work on behalf of its assignment. Jesus marveled. Mt. 8:10
- Faith is a Seed
- Out of 31 parables, only “The Sower” is in all 4 gospels.
- The seed is the Word. The soil is your heart. Mk. 4:14
- The seed has dominion over the soil. Is. 55:10 “…makes it bud…”
- Five weapons Satan uses to choke the Word. Mk. 4:17-19
- When you guard (garden) your heart, the seed will grow and produce one-hundred fold. Mk. 4:20
