Praying God’s Word
- Why Pray God’s Word?
- Never returns void. Void, Defined – empty, fruitless, without accomplishing what He intended when He gave it to you. Is. 55:11
- Forever settled in heaven and earth Ps. 119:8
- “…will never pass away.” Mt. 24:35
- God watches over and performs His Word (not our opinions or suggestions) Je. 1:12
- Paul’s Prayers are Our Pattern
- “…a spirit of wisdom and revelation…” Eph. 1:16-19
- “…filled with the knowledge of His will…” Col. 1:9-11
- Recorded throughout New Testament; always spiritual requests and nothing materialistic mentioned.
- Praying Spirit-Led Prayers
- The Holy Spirit prays through you to accomplish His will.
- Wait on God until a scripture comes to your mind.
- Pray that scripture until you get a release. Sometimes for days, even while maintaining your normal schedule. I Th. 5:18
- Let the Spirit lead your prayer time. Sometimes Spirit promptings turn aggressive (Mt. 3:11), but other times, gentle worship.
- Not a formula or magic wand, but when the Holy Spirit selects a scripture, be assured it will come to pass.
